Gunslinger is an upcoming dystopian thriller set in the near future in the snowy wasteland of a post-apocalyptic America. Directed by German helmer Mennan Yapo from a script penned by Jeff Strebinger, the film takes a re-imagined look at what might happen when the lawlessness of the Old West returns but with better weapons. Principal photography began in Winter 2011 with a release in 2012.[2]

2018, Wisconsin, America. Communities live in fear and are protected by paid gunmen. Jake, a former engineer, is out hunting for food to feed his family. One day, he sees smoke in the distance and realizes it is his home. A gang, led by psychopath Brody, has attacked and murdered his family. Seeking revenge, he enlists his gun slinging brother Sev to hunt down the killers.[3]
Gunslinger is produced by Mark Williams and 2B Pictures. The film will mark the fifth collaboration between Williams and 2B Pictures which was launched in 2008 by U.K.-based Future Film Group to produce independent features.[2] Action director Chris Nahon was originally slated to direct but was later replaced by Mennan Yapo. Simon Crowe's ambitious sales outfit SC Films, which was launched in 2008 as a joint venture between Crowe and Aurelius Investments, is handling international sales.[1] Filming began in Quebec, Canada, in winter 2011; no detailed production schedule has been announced for the film yet.[4]
